Omar Khoury
Chief Global Compliance Officer,
Wynn Resorts
Omar Khoury serves as the Chief Global Compliance Officer for Wynn Resorts, Limited and its subsidiaries (“Company”). In this executive role, Omar leads the Company’s global compliance strategy, ensuring adherence to all applicable state, national, and international laws and regulations. He also is responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) Program, Anti-Corruption Program, and overall Compliance Plan.
Prior to joining Wynn Resorts, Omar was the Senior Vice President of Compliance at Everi Holdings Inc., a leading global manufacturer and supplier of gaming equipment and financial technology solutions. During his tenure, he led all aspects of Everi’s AML compliance function and gaming regulatory compliance process, including entity, individual, and money transmitter licensing.
With more than two decades of experience in the gaming industry, Omar possesses deep compliance expertise across both the operator and manufacturer/supplier sectors. His expertise includes regulatory compliance across state, tribal, and international jurisdictions, navigating complex licensing processes, policy development, and enhancing compliance frameworks to align with evolving regulatory standards and business objectives.
Previously, Omar spent nearly 15 years at MGM Resorts International, where he served as Vice President of Corporate Compliance. He led multiple enterprise-wide compliance initiatives, including oversight of MGM’s Compliance Plan, Code of Conduct, nightclub compliance program, responsible gaming program, and coordinated casino license applications. Omar began his career at MGM as an Internal Auditor and later served as Casino Controller at both Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. In these positions, he led several departments, including Casino Accounting, Gaming Compliance, AML, Count Team, Office Services, Records Management, and Food & Beverage Cashiering.
Before transitioning into the gaming industry, Omar began his professional career in the banking industry, where he spent seven years progressing through leadership roles in both Illinois and Nevada. This early foundation in financial services cultivated a strong passion for compliance and regulatory affairs that continues to guide his career.
Omar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is fluent in Arabic.
