General Director of the DGOJ since may 2020 The General Directorate for Gambling Regulation is the body responsible for carrying out the functions of regulation, authorization, supervision, coordination, control and, where appropriate, sanctioning gambling activities at the state level in Spain. I hold a degree in Law, an MAB, and a master's degree in human Rights. He has experience in the public sector, having held positions such as Director of Services and Entrepreneurship Facilitator in the Basque Government, and in 2009 he was elected a Regional Member of Parliament for Gipuzkoa. Prior to his appointment as Director General for Gambling Regulation, he held the position of Comptroller in the Office of Economic Control of the Department of Finance and Economy of the Basque Government, a role he combined with that of Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country.
