Matt Kane is the Head of Legal at Betr, where he oversees the company's legal, regulatory, and compliance functions. As a member of the executive leadership team, Matt helps shape the company's strategic growth initiatives and advises on regulatory strategy, fundraising, litigation, corporate governance, commercial transactions, licensing, and product launches. Prior to joining Betr, Matt served as Deputy General Counsel at NJOY, which was acquired by Altria in a $3 billion transaction, and previously as General Counsel of Anomaly, a global advertising agency. He began his legal career in the Advertising, Technology & Media practice at Reed Smith LLP. Matt holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from Northwestern University, a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business, and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
