Chairman, Louisiana Gaming Control Board
Christopher B. Hebert was appointed Chairman of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board on July 1, 2024, by Governor Jeff Landry. He previously served over 19 years as an Assistant Attorney General, including 8 years as Director of the Gaming Division. Under his leadership, the Attorney General's Office assisted the Louisiana Gaming Control Board in creating the regulations which govern sports wagering in Louisiana. He also led the development of the Problem Gambling Resource Services (PGRS) program in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Behavioral Health. A recognized leader in gaming policy, Hebert has spoken globally on gaming issues and was recently featured in Gaming America magazine. He is also a former advisory chair of the National Council on Problem Gambling, where he spearheaded efforts to increase regulatory engagement in responsible gaming.
